So it takes me a few days before I get to post the blessed event of Fathers Day. The opportunity to celebrate and honor our Dads. We were able to have my parents over for a BBQ, and make the perfect steaks. I am thankful for my Dad and the memories and lessons he has given me over the years. Independence and decision making stick out the most. And the greatest quote that he has embeded in all of us girls is....."A rose is still a rose even though it has a little dirt on it." I love you Dad.
I am also dearly thankful for my husband and the father that he is. After we had our son I went back to work part time for the next 4 years. So Silver had the chance to take care of little Silver and eventually our daughter Mia while I was at work. It wasnt the easiest since he was working graveyards and sometimes had no sleep. Not many fathers get the chance to be a Mr. Mom in the day. It created a bond with the kids and a great understanding of what mothers go through as well. What an amazing man he is!!!
